I think the Apex may have a little more power stock vs stock(that gap is closing though), but the DRR handles much better (from what I have been told by riders that have been on both machines). Nerf bars, aluminum wheels are not a stock options because DRR would like to help keep the rest of the companies that make parts in business too.I don't think the stock Apex nerfs are anything to get excited about anyway (I could be wrong) The DRX90 now has a new exhaust and high compression head that allows it to run speed wise very close to the Apex.
In the past, the Apex was a much faster quad out of the box, but DRR has improved their base product significantly (thanks to Apex pushing the bar)
Both companies make good bikes.different price tags and different needs and strengths.
